My GTA 4 also crashed when I used the LCPDFR mod. It worked very well the first minutes, but then the game suddenly just collapsed, the picture froze for two seconds and then everything went black and for the final surprise, the typical error sign showed up (GTA 4 has stopped working.). My first thought was just 'okey, I guess I have to restart it and play again'. But it happened every single time and that was to an end disturbing. I tried to validate my files and after four, five tries it worked pretty well and the files that were not able to be validated, could finally be.

I had also to reinstall my GTA. I strongly recommend not to download and install this kind of mod. If you don't have Steam (where your game profile gets saved, even if you unistall and reinstall the game) and this happends, I don't know what to do.
